Job Opportunity: Indonesian, Malaysian, Philippine, Thai and Singapore Analyst

We seek highly motivated individuals who can work as part of a team, anticipate client and company needs, and be part of a high performing network of analysts. An appreciation of the roles of the private sector in generating business and accelerating development in the region is essential. An understanding of regional political environment and how to navigate it on behalf of clients is required.

Relevant qualifications include strong research, writing, analysis, communication and presentation skills, and computer competence. Knowledge in one or more of the following sectors is preferred but not required: 

  • Geopolitics
  • Telecommunications
  • Finance
  • Defence & Security
  • Natural Resources
  • Other Key Business Sectors

 

Candidates should be comfortable in interacting with officials and working levels of government, as well as with colleagues, clients, civil society, the media, and with international businesses.

Applicants are required to have a university degree in business, law, economics, politics, journalism, media, or other social sciences and relevant fields and be experienced professionally regardless of degree background.

Applicants must be fluent in both written and oral native languages as well as in English. This position can be based in the candidate’s home country and reports to the Managing Director.

Job Responsibilities

Build networks and relationships with bureaucrats, regulators, other public officials, government members and/or staff, the business community, media, civil society organisations, and consumer groups.

Research business and investment sector issues, including government policies, legislative and regulatory developments, industry developments, consumer trends and issues, business and investment opportunities.

Analyse business, policies and political implications of specific government regulations, and laws at national, district, city and provincial levels.

Provide advice in developing and implementing government relations, media, public affairs, corporate social responsibility, and other strategies.

Provide well-written and succinct reports and presentations of research and information.

Represent M Group Asia and clients at meetings with stakeholders.
